How Subaru Mobility Assist works
- Confirm your plans. Review Subaru's program requirements and discuss the proposed adaptation with a qualified mobility equipment installer before choosing equipment.
- Purchase or lease an eligible new Subaru. The program applies to new vehicles from authorized U.S. Subaru retailers. It is not a used-vehicle or CPO reimbursement program.
- Complete eligible modifications within one year of purchase. A doctor's letter or prescription is required. Factory optional equipment is excluded.
- Submit the claim within 180 days of installation. Include the retailer purchase order, required medical documentation, paid installation receipt and signed claim form. Follow Subaru's submission instructions.
What equipment may qualify?
Examples include hand or foot controls, steering devices, pedal extensions and wheelchair or scooter lifts or ramps. Suitability depends on the vehicle and adaptation. Ask Subaru for approval if your equipment is not listed or eligibility is unclear.
