PERFORMANCE
Pardon the pun, but the Subaru Legacy has a lot of drive. It’s powered by a passionate powertrain designed to enhance your everyday travels and keep the party going when the weekend rolls around.
Stable and Steadfast
For 2024, Base, Premium and Limited use the 2.5-liter engine; Sport and Touring XT use the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine.
- 2.5L engine: 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque
- Available 2.4L turbocharged engine: 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque
Both engines use a Lineartronic CVT. Assess the specific vehicle’s acceleration, ride and condition during a test drive.
Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard on the 2024 Legacy. Traction and control still depend on tires, road conditions and driver attention.
In It for the Long Haul
For 2024, 2.5-liter models are EPA-rated at 27 city/35 highway MPG; Sport and Touring XT are rated at 23 city/31 highway MPG. Actual mileage varies.
The 2024 Legacy has an 18.5-gallon fuel tank. Actual driving range varies with conditions, vehicle condition and driving habits.
INTERIOR
With a sedan as good-looking and dynamic as the Subaru Legacy, everyone in your inner circle will want to hop in for a ride. Fortunately, the Legacy was built to accommodate you and your loved ones. From the driver-centric cockpit and roomy seating appointments to the slew of premium amenities, this Subaru sedan continues to deliver.
Spacious Enough for Your Crew and Cargo
The 2024 Legacy seats five. The dimensions below show front/rear measurements. Front headroom is 39.4 inches without the moonroof or 38.3 with it; rear headroom is 37.2 inches.
Subaru Legacy Interior Dimensions | ||
|---|---|---|
| Headroom (front/rear) | 39.4/37.2 inches | |
| Legroom (front/rear) | 42.8/39.5 inches | |
| Shoulder Room (front/rear) | 58.1/57.4 inches | |
Dimensions help compare cabin space; seating position and personal fit vary. Try both rows in the vehicle you are considering.
The trunk is equally spacious, measuring 15.1 cubic feet. That’s ample room for carry-ons, groceries, golf clubs, and more!
Your Throne Awaits

TECHNOLOGY
The Subaru Legacy does a great job of keeping you comfortable. What about occupied and protected? Absolutely! This sedan has user-friendly technology and a comprehensive safety suite to make every ride behind the wheel worthwhile.
Driver-Centric Cockpit
The base model of the Subaru Legacy treats you to dual 7-inch multimedia screens stacked on each other. One is your infotainment hub, while the other prioritizes cabin comfort functions. Higher trims upgrade the central display to an 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus screen with optional navigation.
Multimedia features vary by trim and compatible device. Satellite services may require a subscription; do not assume a used vehicle includes an active trial.
- Apple CarPlay®
- Android Autoâ„¢
- Bluetooth®
- HD Radio®
- SiriusXM®
To make every note of your playlist, syllable of your audiobook, and word of your podcast sound crisp, opt for the available Harman Kardon® premium audio system, which places 12 speakers strategically around the cabin.
