Understand Corrosion Warranty Coverage
Corrosion coverage is defined by the written warranty for your vehicle. Rust-perforation coverage concerns qualifying rust-through of covered body panels; it does not mean every instance of rust, paint damage, or corrosion-related maintenance is covered.
Check What Is Covered
Surface corrosion, stone chips, scratches, collision damage, and other conditions may be excluded or addressed under different coverage. Review the applicable model-year warranty booklet for covered panels, coverage dates, exclusions, and care requirements. For a used vehicle, ask our team to confirm its original in-service date and remaining eligibility.
Get Help With a Specific Concern
If you notice corrosion or paint damage, contact our Subaru service team for an evaluation. Coverage must be determined under the applicable written terms; an inspection does not guarantee a covered repair. Ask for the scope and cost of any recommended work before authorizing it.
Any optional corrosion-protection product or agreement is separate from factory warranty coverage. Ask whether an option is available for your vehicle and review its price, benefits, exclusions, and requirements before deciding.
