Two Different BOXER Engine Choices
The 2017 Forester 2.5i used a 2.5-liter four-cylinder BOXER engine rated at 170 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The turbocharged 2.0XT was a different powertrain, rated at 250 horsepower with 93 AKI premium fuel. Subaru offered all-wheel drive across the lineup; transmission and other equipment varied by version.
