Understand Basic Vehicle Warranty Coverage
Basic coverage, sometimes described as bumper-to-bumper, covers specified defects under the terms of the vehicle's written warranty. The name does not mean every part, repair, or situation is covered.
Check the Terms for Your Vehicle
Review the warranty booklet for time and mileage limits, covered components, exclusions, and maintenance requirements. Ask our team to confirm the original in-service date and any remaining coverage for a used vehicle. A used vehicle does not automatically include a new-vehicle warranty.
Routine maintenance, wear items, collision damage, and other exclusions depend on the applicable written terms. Roadside assistance, rental reimbursement, and similar benefits may have separate eligibility requirements and limits.
Compare Optional Protection
An optional vehicle service agreement is separate from the warranty included with a vehicle. Before choosing one, review its cost, covered repairs, deductible, exclusions, repair authorization process, and any overlap with existing coverage.
